THE UNIVERSITY was the top producer of architects in the June 2022 licensure examinations for architects, in which over 250 Thomasians including three topnotchers passed.
UST, the No. 2 top-performing school in the examinations, fielded 289 examinees and had 255 passers, or an 88.24-percent passing rate.
The University’s passing rate rose from the 87.94 percent it recorded in the January 2022 exams, where it placed first on the list of top-performing schools.
Gian de la Cruz ranked No. 2 to lead the new batch of Thomasian architects with a score of 81.90 percent.
Two other Thomasians made it to the Top 10: Jam Manalo (No. 5, 81.50) and Oscar Castro (No. 9, 81). Manalo shared the fifth spot with Lady Castillo of Batangas State University – Alangilan and Micaela Cruz of Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa.
Marianne Ofianga of the Iloilo Science & Technology University topped the examinations with an 82.40-percent score.
The University of the Philippines Diliman was the top-performing school with a 97.01-percent passing rate or 65 out of 67 examinees.
The national passing rate for the June 2022 architecture licensure exam rose to 63.72 percent (3,037 out of 4,766) from 62.13 percent (1,370 out of 2,205) in January.
The board examinations for architects were held on June 17 and 19.
