A THOMASIAN ranked third in the May 2022 licensure examinations for civil engineers, in which UST was named the fourth top-performing school.
Thomasian Carl Fabian ranked third nationwide with a score of 93.25 percent. He tied with Jason Mejia of Pangasinan State University – Urdaneta.
UST’s passing rate increased to 85.39-percent, or 165 out of 192 examinees, from 77.19 percent, or 44 out of 57 examinees, in November 2021.
Arianne Dameg of University of the Philippines Diliman, Archigine Labrador of the University of Saint Louis – Tuguegarao and Jameson Lim of Xavier University topped this year’s examinations after scoring 93.95 percent.
The University of the Philippines Los Baños was named the top-performing school with a 95-percent passing rate, or 76 out of 80 examinees.
The national passing rate for civil engineers rose to 42.35 percent (5,836 of 13,781 examinees) from 36.70 percent (2,374 of 6,469 examinees) in 2021.
